The children have learnt a variety of tennis skills through playing fun games and being set various challenges. Pupil Lewis said: "I like playing the sharks and fishes game" and Yusra said: "It's been really fun!"
They have learnt how to perform the forehand and back hand, how to stand in the ready position and some of the rules of tennis. Although not everyone found it easy to start off with, with Pupil Daniella commenting: "I found tennis difficult to start with but Steve has helped me."
Class teacher, Mrs Natalie Coates said: "This has been such a great opportunity for the children and they have loved each coaching session."
There may yet be a future Laura Robson or Andy Murray among them but they were certainly very impressed with the coaches skills, with one pupil, Jack, commenting: "The tennis teacher is really good at catching!"
