Bryan Redpath
Head Coach
The former Scotland scrum-half retired from playing in May 2005 after a successful professional career that saw him represent Sale, Narbonne, Edinburgh and Melrose, and win 60 international caps in addition to appearing at two Rugby World Cups.
He arrived as backs coach at Gloucester Rugby in the summer of 2005 and was named Head Coach in June 2009 following the departure of Dean Ryan.
In his first season in charge, he guided Gloucester to seventh place in the Guinness Premiership table and to the final of the LV= Cup.
2010-11 saw an even better return as Gloucester finished third in the Aviva Premiership table and won the LV= Cup as they defeated Newcastle Falcons at Franklin's Gardens.
Bryan was kindly sponsored in 2009-10, 2010-11 and once again in 2011-12 by Butler Silcox.
Carl Hogg
Forwards Coach
FORMER Scotland back row forward Carl Hogg is Gloucester's forwards coach.
Capped five times by Scotland, Hogg joined Gloucester in 2006 following spells at Edinburgh during the 2004-5 season.During his playing days, Hogg earned five caps for Scotland and was a member of five international tours. He played with the Borders Reivers and Edinburgh Reivers between 1996 and 2001 before taking up a contract with Leeds Tykes.
He had two seasons at Headingley before taking on the role of coaching co-ordinator, taking particular responsibility for the Leeds Tykes A XV. Hogg gained level two and three coaching certificates from the English RFU and has a specialist coaching qualification in back-row play. He has also completed a MSc in Sports Coaching for Brunel University.
Carl was kindly sponsored in 2010-11 and again in 2011-12 by Highland Spring.
John Brain
Rugby Operations Manager
John was appointed Rugby Operations Manager in the summer of 2011 having worked for the club in a scouting capacity since December 2010.
Brain, of course, is a true Gloucester stalwart. In addition to the scouting role that he has carried out since December 2010, he has also represented the club with distinction as a player and a coach.
Gloucester born and bred, he spent the vast majority of his playing career at Kingsholm before playing a couple of seasons for Bedford in Courage League Two. He made nearly 300 appearances in total for Gloucester.
He then served as an Assistant Coach to Philippe Saint Andre before moving on to the Worcester Warriors, who he guided into the Guinness Premiership for the first time in their history, and then down the M5 to Bristol Rugby as Forwards Coach.
Bob Stewart
Head of Medical Services
Bob joined Gloucester in the summer of 2007 from Worcester Warriors.
He brings a wealth of experience to the club having been physiotherapist to the Scottish national team from 1999-2006, as well as to the British & Irish Lions on their tours to New Zealand in 2005 and also South Africa in 2009.
