The young and agile No8 has impressed heavily at Gloucester and without injuries would have won many more than his two international caps for England.
At his peak, Forrester was considered one of the brightest talents in and around the English game possessing an excellent eye for the try line and scored several hat-tricks throughout his career.
A powerful ball carrier and very quick, Forrester suffered a horrific knee injury in April 2007 and this ended his very strong hopes of being included in Brian Ashton’s World Cup squad and adding to his international cap tally.
He battled valiantly to come back from the injury but broke down in a Guinness A League game against Sale in September 2008 and decided to retire from the game.
