Dave joined Gloucester before the 2007-8 season from Exeter Chiefs.

The 18 year old initially agreed a one-year deal with the Kingsholm club and combined his rugby development with a course in Sports Coaching and Conditioning at Hartpury College – Gloucester’s training base.

From a playing perspective, he forced his way into the first team reckoning and made 11 appearances in total despite suffering a serious ankle injury at one point.

Dave was a regular in the England U20 side for the Junior World Championship in Japan in June 2009 and went on to make over 20 first team appearances in 2009-10 despite missing the last few weeks of the season with a back injury. 

2010-11 saw another fine contribution from Dave as he made 23 appearances in total and he signed a new contract with the club in spring 2011. 

Dave continued to be a popular member of the squad, and a regular in the matchday squad, but will move to Exeter Chiefs for the 2013-14 season.
