The Fijian openside signed from Pertemps Bees after the World Cup, where he made a considerable impression and put in many man of the match performances.

In his last season at Pertemps he scored a mammoth 16 tries in National League 1. 

His fantastic footwork and counter-attacking rugby helped Fiji reach the quarter finals of the World Cup. During his debut season at Gloucester he continued his devastating try-scoring record by adding a total of 8 in 22 appearances. 

Towards the latter of that season, he really established himself as Gloucester’s No7 and was shortlisted for the Guinness Premiership Player of the Season, losing out to team-mate James Simpson-Daniel.

Suffered a serious knee injury playing for Fiji in summer 2008 which kept him out of Gloucester action until March but his game-breaking qualities, monstrous tackling power and eye for the try line have marked him out as a real star for the future.

Qera's fine form throughout the early part of 2009-10 caught the eye and the Fijian extended his contract in January 2010. His form was acknowledged when he was named as Player of the Year at the club's End of Season dinner in May 2010.

He also played a massive part in Gloucester's 2010-11 campaign, shone in the Rugby World Cup for Fiji  and agreed a new contract with Gloucester in spring 2012.

Q had another stellar season in 2012-13, and was shortlisted for Aviva Premiership Player of the Season.
