Drew Locke, a centre by trade, joined Gloucester Rugby from the Cornish Pirates ahead of the 2012-13 season.
Locke joined the Pirates from the Exeter Chiefs in 2011-12 on a permanent basis having been at the Mennaye Field on a dual registration basis in 2010-11.
The 25 year old who was previously with Coventry, enjoyed a fine season for the Cornishmen and was their second top try scorer until breaking his collarbone in January.
The Braintree born player has clearly benefitted from regular game time in the Championship and been able to show off his hard running style with ball in hand, combined with deft handling skills and strong defence.
