Jamie arrives back in Gloucestershire on Saturday the 24th November and will be riding a lap of honour around Kingsholm Stadium before the Sale Sharks Aviva Premiership fixture, to finish his journey!
Since leaving Bangkok in January, Jamie has faced hostile police, implacable bureaucracy, blinding blizzards. Not to mention blistering deserts, injuries, illness, countless thefts and mechanical disaster.
Amazingly, Jamie's experience has left him with an overwhelming faith in the decency of human nature - especially Iran.
After his close call with death in Tajikistan, Jamie was understandably nervous about entering Iran - less than a year after the British Embassy was stormed and set on fire and the ambassador expelled.
Instead, he was overwhelmed by the kindness and hospitality of the ordinary Iranian people. Jamie said:
"Iran has been something of a revelation. I was very nervous about coming here, especially as the British Embassy was stormed last November."
While most would have given up or hitched a ride along the way, Jamie is determined to cycle the whole distance, and raise £10,000 for Pied Piper.
His steely motivation and can-do attitude has inspired an army of supporters from the children's ward, with many keen to wish him well throughout the his journey.
The Pied Piper Appeal will be holding their annual collection day at Kingsholm at the Sale Sharks match on Saturday 24th November and any donation however big or small will be greatly appriciated.
