SOS Romania Rugby is a national children’s charity dedicated to sending rugby equipment to Romania. As Europe’s poorest country with an average monthly wage of just £60 it is not easy for children to play sports such as rugby. The problem is not a lack of ability or passion- simply a lack of kit.
Gloucester Rugby Club’s supporters and the Gloucester Rugby Supporters Association can help this charity by donating any rugby kit that you have outgrown or finished with. All kit, especially boots must be clean to pass through Customs regulations.
The charity is desperate for shirts, shorts, boots, head protectors, tracksuits, socks, head and shoulder protectors, rugby balls and boots. Any full sets of shirts would be really useful to them.
Gloucester Rugby Club will be a central collection point for SOS Romania from 7th October to 8th November. Any donated kit can be left at the ticket office. At the home match against Northampton on 2nd November the club will be welcoming John Broadfoot from SOS Romania Rugby.
