Kingsholm Stadium to play host to international rugby this November
21 September 2018
Three years on from the incredible Rugby World Cup 2015, one of the stars of the tournament, Japan will be returning to Kingsholm Stadium this November, taking on Russia on Saturday 24 November (kick off 2:05pm)
Jamie Joseph’s Brave Blossoms will be the host nation for Rugby World Cup 2019, and they will take on Russia in their opening game, and the two sides will meet at Kingsholm as part of the Autumn International test match period.
With the next tournament now just 12 months away, the excitement is growing, and this is a perfect opportunity to see the hosts and their group opponents lock horns!
Gloucester Rugby Chief Executive Stephen Vaughan spoke about the upcoming international fixture at Kingsholm.
“We know that the Gloucester Rugby supporters love to welcome international teams to Kingsholm Stadium, and we are delighted to confirm that Japan and Russia will be both returning to play this November.
“Here at Gloucester Rugby, we have a real appetite for hosting international rugby and with our game away at Exeter Chiefs that day it gave us the opportunity to host this really exciting fixture and for those that can’t make it to Sandy Park they can still get to see some first class Rugby at Kingsholm that day.”
Gloucester Rugby 2018-19 Club Members can benefit from purchasing tickets to this match at an exclusive discounted price, with tickets starting from £8 (adult member) and £1 (junior member). For Non Club Members prices start from £13 (adult) and £5 (junior). Please note that supporters will not be able to reserve their seat in the stand as not all areas of the stadium will be open.
