Renishaw extends its relationship with Gloucester-Hartpury Women
11 October 2018
The club is delighted to announce that Renishaw, a long-term supporter of rugby in the city, has extended its partnership with the Gloucester-Hartpury team in a move which is yet another endorsement of women’s rugby.
Based near Wotton-under-Edge and one of the biggest commercial success stories in the South West in recent years, Renishaw has been involved with Gloucester Rugby for some years now, supporting many of the club’s Community initiatives and as Ben Morgan’s player sponsor.
As part of this extended partnership, Renishaw will see its logo feature prominently on the Gloucester-Hartpury playing kit, have signage at Kingsholm and also be involved in a new digital content project.
As an organisation that is renowned for its successful approach to apprenticeships and graduates, and programmes that inspire young women to pursue a career in engineering, the continued support of the Gloucester-Hartpury team is a natural one according to Chris Pockett, Head of Communications at Renishaw.
“We want to challenge societal stereotyping and perceptions that see engineering and rugby as being only for men. We are therefore delighted to see that women’s rugby is continuing to grow in popularity and that the percentage of women entering our graduate and apprenticeship programmes is also increasing.”
Gloucester Rugby’s Chief Commercial Officer, Adam Benson, commented:
“Renishaw is a fantastic business for us to be in partnership with and it is great to see that they share our vision for both the club and for women’s rugby.”
