Wales Women take on the first Women’s Crawshay’s team at Ebbw Vale on Saturday, and there are Gloucester-Hartpury players in both camps.
Wales come into the game off the back of games against Spain, Ireland and Scotland this autumn and feature three Gloucester-Hartpury players in their squad. Cerys Hale starts at tighthead with Kelsey Jones and Bethan Lewis named amongst the replacements.
Crawshays are coached by Gloucester-Hartpury’s Lisa Burgess. ‘Bird’ as she is widely known, was inducted into World Rugby’s Hall of Fame in October 2018 and recently became the first woman to be elected to the Welsh Rugby Union board.
She’s selected several familiar faces in the Crawshays side – Kathryn Buggy starts at tighthead, Shona Powell-Hughes at number eight and Sian Williams and Lleucu George are named amongst the replacements.
Kick-off is at 2:30pm at Eugene Cross Park.
