Morgan staying positive as Gloucester Rugby return to Heineken Cup action
3 December 2019
Ben Morgan skippered Gloucester Rugby at the Stoop last weekend and, although frustrated at the outcome, is confident that the Cherry and Whites are not too far away from hitting their stride.
“Massive credit to all the boys out there, everyone always puts their heart and soul into the game and it’s just frustrating when we weren’t quite able to deliver.
“But we’ll stay tight as a group, they’ve only been small margins so we only need to do some tweaking. We don’t have to go back to the drawing board by any stretch of the imagination.
“We’re looking forward to getting back into European competition, getting back in front of our home crowd at Kingsholm and embracing the challenge.
“We’ve had some great battles with Connacht over the years. We’re looking forward to welcoming them to Kingsholm and equally the return trip.”
Tickets are still available for this important Heineken Champions Cup fixture, with the Cherry and Whites looking to keep their European hopes alive in front of a partisan home crowd.
