Gloucester Rugby quartet named in Scotland and Wales Six nations squads
15 January 2020
It’s been a good morning on the Six Nations front with the news that Alex Craig and Chris Harris have been named in Scotland’s squad while Louis Rees-Zammit and Owen Williams have been called up by Wales.
Harris and Williams have obviously been capped before, but it’s a first call up for Rees-Zammit and Craig, both products of the Gloucester Rugby Academy, and who have both made the most of the first team opportunities given to them this season.
For Rees-Zammit in particular, it caps a remarkable few days for the 18-year-old, having been named Gallagher Premiership Player of the Month for December and extending his contract with the Cherry and Whites.
The news follows the earlier announcement this week that Callum Braley and Jake Polledri have been named in Italy’s squad.
