gloucester rugby is PLEASED to announce that back row forward, lewis ludlow, has agreed an extended deal with the cherry & whites.
Ludlow has been a hugely important component in the Gloucester Rugby squad over recent years, having initially made his breakthrough into the first team in 2013. Lewis achieved his 100th cap for the Cherry & Whites in our home fixture against Wasps this season.
Not one to shy away from confrontation, the hard-hitting back rower has consistently appeared at the top end of the tackle charts in the Premiership for a number of seasons.
On signing his new deal, Ludlow is thrilled to extend his stay at Kingsholm and remains enthusiastic for the future.
“Playing for Gloucester Rugby has always been a true honour for me, and there’s nowhere I’d rather play my rugby. I love this club and want to get it to where it deserves to be.
“As a squad, we’re determined to bring success to the supporters, and I’m really excited for the future. We made great strides as a squad over the last few years, and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch again”
Lance Bradley, CEO, said “Lewis has shown his enthusiasm and commitment to this Club over many years. You only have to look at his performances to see just how important he is to us moving forward.
“Not only that, but as an academy graduate, he is a fantastic role-model to have in the squad. The journey he’s been on from the academy to the first team, highlights the importance of that pathway. He’s exactly the kind of player we want to build the Club around as we go forward.”
