Wales open their Rugby World Cup with a Celtic clash against Scotland in Whangarei, New Zealand on Sunday 9 October (5.45am BST KO).

Captain Hannah Jones is among seven Gloucester-Hartpury players selected in the matchday squad by Wales head coach Ioan Cunningham.

Joining Jones in the starting XV are Gloucester-Hartpury loose-head prop Cara Hope and wing Lisa Neumann, who missed Wales' two warm-up matches against Canada and England through injury..

There are four Gloucester-Hartpury players among the replacements for Wales, squad captain Siwan Lillicrap, hooker Kelsey Jones, prop Cerys Hale and flanker Bethan Lewis.

The game will be available to watch live on ITV and online on S4C Clic and the S4C YouTube channel.

The selections takes the total number of Gloucester-Hartpury players to feature in the opening round to 11 following the announcement that four Gloucester-Hartpury players will feature in England's XV to face Fiji. For more information on the Red Roses game click here.

After Wales' clash with Scotland on Sunday they face hosts New Zealand in Auckland on Sunday 16 October (3.15am BST KO) before concluding their Pool A fixtures against Australia on Saturday 22 October (2.15am BST KO) in Whangarei.
