When Billy Twelvetrees came on off the bench against Wasps, he became part of an exclusive club and joined the group of players who have played 250 times in Cherry and White.

Having been awarded a testimonial season this year, Twelvetrees is a stalwart of Gloucester Rugby and both Head Coach George Skivington and Club Captain Lewis Ludlow are proud of what he has achieved.

“I can’t speak highly enough of Billy. I think having that number of games for one club is immense. Billy’s professionalism and the way that he approaches his job, he’s first in the gym and he’s last to leave. He’s diligent and delivers all the time.

“I feel very privileged that we’ve got him in the squad and to have a player like him at the club for 10 years is testament to the club but also Billy. He loves it here and he’s still got plenty of years to go.”

“He’ll go down as a Gloucester Rugby legend. He’s put his body through toll and has got 250 appearances in such a quick amount of time.

“He looks after his body so well and puts his body on the line every time that he plays. You won’t get a more passionate bloke. He’s not from the area but you’d never know it the way that he plays and speaks about the club."
