Five members of the Gloucester-Hartpury Centre of Excellence have been selected by England U18s Head Coach, James Cooper, for the U18s Women's Six Nations Festival at Wellington College.

Gloucester-Hartpury back-row, Sophie McQueen, will captain the squad of 28.

McQueen is joined in the squad by Gloucester-Hartpury's Daisy Aspinall, Millie Hyett, Lucy Simpson and Amelia Williams.

England began preparations for the Six Nations Festival with a 48-5 win over Wales last month at Rugby School. Aspinall scored two tries in England's convincing win.

To promote an appropriate and competitive playing environment, teams will play four 35-minute fixtures across the first two matchdays followed by one full 70-minute fixture on the final matchday.

England open their Six Nations Festival with a fixture against Wales and Scotland on Friday 7 April.

On Tuesday 11 April, Cooper's side return to action against Ireland and Italy, before completing their tournament against France on Saturday 15 April.

Admission to the festival will be free, while fans unable to attend will be able to watch every fixture live via the Six Nations Rugby digital channels.

England’s player pathway programme is a vital development tool for future international rugby, especially during a new era ahead of a home 2025 Rugby World Cup, and the is Under-18 Women’s Six Nations Festival a key part of that.
