Gloucester Rugby Head Coach George Skivington is expecting another enthralling game on Friday 21 October (7.45pm KO) when his side travel to London Irish in the Gallagher Premiership.

"They play a fast game and they score a lot of tries. They have got a lot of young players on the field who are real threats and they play an exciting brand so we have to travel down there and be switched on and expect the unknown because they can change the game quickly."

However, Skivington remains focussed on his own sides performance.

"We need to make sure we are on it from our point of view, we are not 100% happy with our game and we have a few work ons but it should be an exciting evening."

Last weekend Skivington's Gloucester saw off West Country rivals Bristol 31-28 thanks to a last minute Adam Hastings' penalty, and Skivington was impressed by the character of his team to come edge out their neighbours.

"I thought it was really good game of rugby, it was fierce, it was fast and there was a lot of metres run and tackles made.

"The boys' resilience and thought processes on how to win the game were outstanding, especially in the closing stages when it was tight.

For the second week on the trot I was really pleased with how we defended again."

On Monday it was announced Gloucester Rugby have signed ex Worcester Warriors players Alex Hearle, Seb Atkinson and Finn Theobald-Thomas. Skivington welcomed the young trio.

"We have brought the three lads in, they're young talents with good potential and when we met them they seemed like good focussed guys. I think they're grateful to be here and we are lucky to have them so we are are excited to see what they can do."
