George Skivington has made five changes to the starting line-up that narrowly lost to Exeter Chiefs last time out with Tom Seabrook, Mark Atkinson, Adam Hastings, Charlie Chapman and Val Rapava-Ruskin all coming into the 15 for Leicester Tigers.

After a bye week, the squad is refreshed and the matchday 23 is boosted by the return of Mark Atkinson and Louis Rees-Zammit from international squads.

For the trip to Welfrod Road, Kyle Moyle starts at fullback with Santiago Carreras and Ollie Thorley on the wings. Tom Seabrook and Mark Atkinson combine in the centres with Charlie Chapman and Adam Hastings at halfback.

Val Rapava-Ruskin, Jack Singleton and Fraser Balmain make up the front row with Freddie Clarke and Matias Alemanno continuing their partnership at lock.

Jordy Reid, Ruan Ackermann and captain Lewis Ludlow make up the backrow.

Santiago Socino, Harry Elrington, Jamal Ford-Robinson, Alex Craig and Jack Clement are named as forward replacements with Ben Meehan, George Barton and Louis Rees-Zammit covering the backs.

George Skivington is looking forward to taking on the top of the table side.

“It will definitely be a tough test. They are the best team in the league and they are rightfully at the top of the table. They’ve played some really good games and they’ve dug in and got through a few games when they probably weren’t as pleased with their performance. They’re a really good team. Steve (Borthwick) and his team are doing a great job and they are in a good spot.

“From our point of view, it’s an exciting challenge. We get to go to Welford Road, which will be a good atmosphere and we get to test ourselves against the top of the league.

“We’ll do our best, prepare well and go up there and embrace the challenge and get to see where we’re at.”
