Centre Jack Reeves will make his second league start for the Cherry & Whites when they host Newcastle Falcons at Kingsholm tomorrow (3pm KO).

Reeves is excited for his first league start at home.

"I'm really looking forward to the game. We have a great pack inside us and obviously the same back line as last week. It was a new back line last week. we haven't played too much together, but I thought we did some good stuff.

"Hopefully we can get the ball in our hands a bit more this weekend to show what we can do."

The 22 year old was proud to make his first start last weekend, but was disappointed to not come away with any points.

"It was exciting, but pretty nerve racking!

"The last four years I've been building to try and get a couple of opportunities. I really enjoyed it and felt comfortable out there, it was just a shame about the result."

Reeves will once again be partnered with former Lion Billy Twelvetrees in midfield and he's thrilled to be learning from him.

"Since I was in the academy I've always looked up to him, I remember him playing for the Lions so it's pretty cool to play next to him.

"It makes it a little bit easier when you've got a player of that class playing inside you and pulling the strings."

Last season Reeves spent a loan period in the US, playing for Major League Rugby side the New England Free Jacks.

He believes his time across the pond gave him a 'fresh start' at Gloucester Rugby.

"I got a run of 15/16 games back to back under my belt in a different environment, learning from different coaches and when I came back it was almost like a fresh start for me."

Tickets for Gloucester Rugby's Gallagher Premiership with Newcastle are still available here.
