Gloucester Rugby can confirm that Joe Simpson has joined Bath Rugby on a short-term loan deal. The scrum-half has spent the beginning of the season with Saracens and will now move to the West Country to join Stuart Hooper's side with immediate effect.

Alex Brown, Chief Operating Officer, added,

“We are fortunate to have a wealth of scrum-halves in the squad following the arrival of Ben Meehan in the summer and the likes of our homegrown talent in Stephen Varney and Charlie Chapman vying for a first team spot as well.

“This is a good opportunity for Joe to get consistent Premiership rugby following his stint at Saracens.”
