Gloucester Rugby play London Irish tomorrow evening (7.45pm KO) in round 7 of the Gallagher Premiership.

After a player of the match performance in Gloucester's win over Bristol at Kingsholm last Saturday, flanker Jordy Reid aims to keep the momentum going into this week.

"I think the back-row as a whole are going pretty well. It's competitive here to get into the match-day 23, so I just have to keep playing well and doing the best for the team and hopefully that gets us results."

With back-to-back derby wins over Bath & Bristol in the last two weeks, Reid is happy to be back on track after being on the wrong side of a tight encounter against Saracens in round three.

"We are very pleased with the outcome and the way we closed out the game. A few weeks ago against Sarries we didn't close out the game the way we wanted to.

"We spoke about learning from that and taking it into the next couple of weeks and thankfully on the weekend, and against Bath, we were able to come out on the right side of the ledger and close the game out."

Despite winning their last two games in the league, Reid is not getting carried away, and knows the difficult obstacle that they face on Friday night.

"I'm really looking forward to the game, it will be quite similar to Bristol I think, they score a lot of tries and like to throw the ball around a bit, so it will be a very open game.

"But they've also got a big pack and strong set piece so it'll be a challenge across the board but it's one we are looking forward to try and get a scalp away from home."
