The winner of the Stowford Press Player of the Season was all-action prop Val Rapava-Ruskin.

Rapava-Ruskin was one of the Gallagher Premiership's form props at the start of the season, topping the charts in a number of areas.

His form was rewarded by a call-up to Eddie Jones' England squad for the November internationals, but illness saw him miss out on game time.

Rapava-Ruskin made 16 appearances in Cherry & White, before suffering a season-ending knee injury against Leicester Tigers in March.

The loosehead has also re-signed at Kingsholm ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Gloucester Rugby Head Coach, George Skivington, says the duo were worth their awards.

"Val and Seb have both been exceptional for us this season.

"Val was one of the best-performing props in the league this season and that was evident in the stats. He's had a great season and was unfortunate that injury halted his momentum, but I'm sure he'll pick up where he left off at the start of next season.

"We picked up Seb from Worcester, he got a chance because of our injuries in midfield and he grabbed the opportunity with both hands. He's come up against some of the best 12's in the world this season and has held his own really well. The most exciting thing about Seb is we still see lots of potential for him to get better.

"This season has been a real squad effort, and those two have played a big part in that."
