Gloucester-Hartpury Women start their Premier 15s campaign with a home game at the ALPAS Area against DMP Durham Sharks on Saturday 4 September. Kick-off is at 4:30pm and it's free entry for what should be a great afternoon.

Ahead of the start of the season, Gloucester Hartpury Women's Head Coach, Sean Lynn, and captain, Natasha 'Mo' Hunt, were both on media duty at the official launch of the competition and were both looking forward to games starting.

"We're very excited. The girls have trained hard over pre-season and we just want to get out there and play in the Allianz Premier 15s which was a great spectacle last year.”

Pre-season

"Preseason has gone really well and we were all about trying to do a bit of team building. I call it a fun Friday but I'm not sure the girls thought it was that much fun! We would send a postcode out to the girls, and they didn't know what was happening! We did all sorts of activities. One of them was going to Clevedon Marine Lake where we did a triathlon which they absolutely loved.

"We played Worcester in preseason and that went really well. With the likes of Mo coming back and Zoe Aldcroft, who just galvanises the forward pack, we've got talented individuals with Emma Sing who's a youngster and then Rachel Lund and Tatyana Heard. There's something special in that backline. Come along and watch a good brand of rugby."

Choosing Natasha ‘Mo’ Hunt as captain

"Mo is something special. What she's achieved as a local girl from Gloucester and the Forest of Dean, just having her around is great for the club but it's also great to have her as a role model for these younger girls. Seeing her commentate on TV and being involved in our university coaching set up now, she's a great asset."
