Gloucester-Hartpury suffered their first defeat of the 2022/23 Allianz Premier 15s season on Saturday, when they were beaten 27-36 by reigning champions Saracens at Kingsholm.

Head Coach, Sean Lynn, said Saracens were well worth their win, but now their attention just turns to the next game.

"They took their opportunities really well when they were in our red zone they were clinical.

"We've lost, so we need to look into it in the week and start building for next weekend."

Despite the defeat, Lynn said there are lots the Cherry & Whites can take away from the game.

"There are loads of positives to take from the game. We tested our squad, Sophie Bridger was outstanding, coming in on the wing having never played there for us before."

Lynn's side travel to DMP Sharks next Saturday, looking to get back to winning ways. The Welshman says his side will be looking to get their attack back up and running in Darlington.

"Going into DMP we want to sharpen up our attack play, keep the ball in hand a little but more and really stretch teams."
