After Gloucester Rugby Academy's Ioan Jones was included in England Rugby's U18 squad for 2023 earlier this week, two further members of Matt Teague's U18s have been called up by their respective nations.

Hartpury College's Charlie Rainbird has been included in the Wales U18s squad, with Bart Godsell of Marling School called upon by Scotland.

Rainbird and Godsell have both been prominent figures in the Gloucester Rugby U18s squad that finished their season at the RFU Finals Day last week.

Gloucester Rugby U18s Head Coach, Matt Teague, was pleased for scrum-half Rainbird and second-row Godsell.

"For many of the boys being selected, they have been on the Gloucester Rugby Academy pathway since the age of 13, and it is the culmination of the dedication of the individual, their parents' support, along with the collaborative approach with schools and clubs.

"It’s great to see the recognition of this on the International stage and we’re sure they’ll add value in each group, underpinned by the Gloucester way."

The Gloucester Rugby Academy begin their preparations for the RFU Festival in April this week, with a double-header friendly against the Boys Club of Wales at Porthcawl RFC.
