Wheelchair Rugby

Launched in 2014, the Gloucester Rugby Wheelchair Rugby development programme is sponsored by EDF Energy and Lanes Health.

The partnership has seen the creation of a new adult Gloucester Rugby Wheelchair team providing opportunities for disabled people to get active and involved in the sport. Weekly club coaching sessions are held at Imjin Barracks in Gloucester.

Running alongside the Club, the partner organisations also work together to deliver a community programme open to schools across Gloucestershire offering regular training opportunities for young players.

The Gloucester Rugby Wheelchair Rugby Club have been going from strength to strength in recent seasons, with the competition team, ‘The Titans’ competing in the National Super Series Division Two.
