Gloucester Rugby started their pre-season campaign with an away loss to Ealing Trailfinders on Saturday 28 August.
The Cherry and Whites put in a great shift but came away on the wrong side of a 34-29 result.
Scoring five tries through Kyle Moyle, Freddie Thomas, Val Rapava-Ruskin, Henry Walker and Jack Reeves, Gloucester Rugby were strong in attack and there was plenty of youngsters who were given good exposure as well as new recruits making their first appearance for the club.
However, Ealing were too strong and played with a physicality which led to their victory. The home side scored five tries also but their accurate goal kicking was what set the two sides apart in the end.
Changing the whole team at half time, George Skivington has put some good game time into 30 of his players and will be pleased with how the youngsters and new players stepped up.
Gloucester Rugby continue their pre-season campaign against Ealing next weekend when they welcome the Trailfinders to Kingsholm on Saturday.
