Gloucester Rugby will be well represented on the international stage this summer as Cherry and White players are picked in Argentina’s and Scotland’s squads for their upcoming tours.
Gloucester Rugby’s three Argentinian players, Santiago Carreras, Matias Alemanno and Santiago Socino, have all been named in their country’s 32-man squad to travel to Cardiff to play Wales on July 10 and 17.
A third game is planned but it is to be decided who, where and when it will be played.
With over 60 caps, Alemanno will provide some good experience and leadership to both Carreras and Socino who will be looking forward to more experience on the international stage.
Alex Craig will join Adam Hastings, who joins Gloucester Rugby ahead of next season, in the Scotland squad this summer.
Interim Scotland Head Coach, Mike Blair, has named a 37-strong squad for games against England A, Romania and Georgia.
The full group will convene on Tuesday 15 June to prepare for the England A fixture on Sunday 27 June, with a smaller squad then travelling to Romania and Georgia for the two Test matches on consecutive Saturdays, 10 & 17 July respectively.
Craig has two Scotland caps to his name and will be hoping to build on the momentum from his strong Six Nations campaign with Adam Hastings hoping to add to his 23 caps at fly-half.
