George Skivington names his Gloucester Rugby side to face Lyon

George Skivington's team for Gloucester Rugby's trip to Lyon

George Skivington has named his Gloucester Rugby side to travel to Lyon in Round 1 of the 2020-21 European Champions Cup this Sunday.

The Cherry and Whites Head Coach has named a young and exciting team with a blend of experience to take on their French counterparts, with 15 of the 23 either coming through or a graduate from the Gloucester Rugby Academy set-up.

Jamal Ford Robinson, James Hanson and Ciaran Knight will combine in the front row with Ollie Atkins and Jamie Gibson both making their first starts for Gloucester Rugby behind them in the second row.

Jack Clement and captain Lewis Ludlow will both start at flanker with Seb Nagle-Taylor starting at No. 8 who has joined the club on loan from Hartpury.

In the backs, Stephen Varney returns from international duty with Italy and will link up at halfback with former Gloucester U18 teammate George Barton.

Tom Seabrook and Henry Trinder start in the midfield with Alex Morgan, Jacob Morris and Kyle Moyle in the back three.

Amongst the replacements are Jay Tyack and Freddie Thomas who are set to make their Gloucester Rugby debuts from the bench.
