Gloucester Rugby Foundation – Launch day success

Gloucester Rugby Foundation – Launch day success
The Gloucester Rugby Foundation would like to say a huge thank you to all the fans who helped raise £2336.66 at the Bath fixture last Saturday.

The Foundation were overwhelmed by the support and generosity of the fans who donated.

Foundation Manager, Helen Chu, said:

“We are truly blown away with the support we have received regarding the Gloucester Rugby Foundation leading up to this point. The Foundation is going from strength to strength and we know that the programmes we deliver are having a positive and powerful impact on our local community. We are really looking forward to 2020 and beyond & are extremely grateful again for the donations and support!”

In addition, this week the Foundation received a generous donation of £238 which will go directly back into programmes such as Walking Rugby.

Mike Stephenson sadly lost his Dad – Anthony Stephenson, in November 2019 after a hard-fought struggle with pancreatic cancer. In his retirement Anthony became a regular at our Walking Rugby session in Oxstalls Sports Centre to get fit.

Anthony had donated to the Gloucester Rugby Foundation over the past 5 years and was pleased that he could see the benefits of his fundraising; and so Mike and his family and friends wish to carry to supporting the Foundation in Anthony’s memory.

Our thoughts are with the family at this time and we are truly appreciative of their support.
