Gloucester Rugby’s ‘Stock The Shed’ is go!
We know the Gloucester Rugby supporters are a very generous bunch, and we would like you to join the club in providing cans of food or produce, socks or any underwear, clothes to help us support those less fortunate in the run up to Christmas.

Gloucester Rugby will be collecting items prior to the game to distribute in the weeks leading up to Christmas, and details on how you can donate your items in the lead up to the game will be provided soon.

Gloucester Rugby’s commitment to help the local community, and those in need stems from a huge effort from the Gloucester Rugby Academy squad, led by Academy Performance Manager Kev Mannion, who for the past few years have volunteered their time to help two local charities with support and effort in order for them to deliver such a vital service to those in need across the county – services which are stretched over the winter months.

People will be able to drop off their donations as of today (Wednesday 21 November).

Simply take to main reception at Kingsholm Stadium where your kind donations will be collected.

Gloucester Rugby Community Education Manager Helen Chu is pleased to already see the generosity of the Gloucester Rugby supporters already.

“As part of the ongoing work with Gloucester City Mission and Gloucester Feed the Hungry, the Gloucester Rugby Community Charity will be collecting clothes and food items which will be distributed to the two charities.

“The Gloucester Rugby Community Charity use sport as a tool to support vulnerable and disadvantaged people living within Gloucestershire. In addition to the collection we have set up a Homeless rugby team which is supported by the Gloucester Rugby Academy Players.

“The sessions are open to anyone affected by homelessness whether it is a lived experience, people who are currently homeless or of no fixed abode, as well as those actively working with the homeless community in Gloucestershire.

“We want to provide a safe and inclusive environment where people who may feel vulnerable due to being homeless have the opportunity to feel part of the community and a part of Gloucester Rugby.”

Supporters are asked to bring donations to Kingsholm Stadium also on the next Gallagher Premiership home game against Worcester Warriors next weekend - Saturday 1 December.
