Gloucester Rugby had three players on international duty over the weekend, as the Six Nations headed into round two. Louis Rees-Zammit, Chris Harris and Stephen Varney were all on display for their respective countries.
Wales v Scotland
Louis Rees-Zammit was on the winning side for the first time this Six Nations as Wales secured a close win against Scotland, whilst Gloucester Rugby team mate, Chris Harris suffered defeat. Neither back scored in the fixture but worked hard in defence in what was a close game at The Principality. Chris Harris took Scotland close to scoring on occasions but Wales' defence proved too strong.
Italy v England
Young scrum half, Stephen Varney was on the losing side in Rome on Sunday as Italy suffered their second defeat of the tournament, 0-33 against England. Italy controlled large portions of the game and held overall territory. Varney helped Italy with short bursts of attack and the Cherry and White proved once again that he is capable of performing on the international stage.
