After back-to-back wins over the division’s Top Two at Kingsholm in recent weeks, the Cherry and Whites face another tough test with a trip to their West Country rivals, with the Rifles Cup up for grabs.

Here are some players to keep an eye on this weekend.

Ruan Ackermann

The South African back rower will be key for the Cherry and Whites in a fascinating forward battle at Ashton Gate. The 23-year old will want to get his side on the front foot as they try to implement their attack on the game.

Callum Sheedy

The exciting fly half has all the attributes to get his side ticking this week, he is a dangerous runner and distributor, and will be looking to unlock his back line with the Bears’ all-court approach.
