Bethan started playing for Carmarthen Quins at age 6 for the boys team and played with that team until she had to play for the girls side at age 12. The club had a girls team so she stayed there until she finished at U18 level. So, she played for Carmarthen Quins for 12 years in total - they will always be special to her.
At 15 she started playing for the Scarlets region in U18s and then captained the side the following two years while with them. She was also involved with Wales U18 7’s for 3 years, her highlight was to compete in a youth Commonwealth games in Bahamas placing 3rd.
Bethan moved to Hartpury to study Sports and Exercise Science. She started playing for Gloucester-Hartpury and also the University side.
Playing here her rugby has improved and in February she gained her first cap against Scotland in the Six Nations, now having 5 caps after starting in all Wales’ Six Nation matches. In addition to this she has played 7’s nationally and played at the Commonwealth games in the Gold Coast.
She knows for certain she would not have been able to achieve all this without the support of both her parents. Her dad has been a huge inspiration for her and she can’t thank him enough, he is her biggest fan.
