"The pool stages was massively enjoyable for me, being a new lad at the club for the Sevens and a first run out at Kingsholm too.
"I can't thank the crowd enough, they created a great atmosphere and the boys loved it.
The vibes at Kingsholm were a different gravy last night. Decent first run for the boys. Thanks- Henry Purdy (@henrypurdy_) August 1, 2014
"I was impressed with the standard of our round and watched some of the other legs as well. The level will go up a notch at the Stoop but the boys are looking forward to rising to it.
The Series Final sees the Cherry and Whites face up with pool C runners-up Northampton Saints in the quarter-final and Purdy knows his team need to be on top form to earn the victory.
"Northampton have a good side, I know a few of the boys through England age-grades. They have some quick boys with good off-loading games so they will be a big challenge.
"But we can definitely step it up, we have a good squad, good strength in depth and young players who are keen to show what they can do.
"It's another early opportunity to impress the coaches and all the boys are aware of that. It's a fresh season and one of the first chances for the new guys to represent Gloucester in that new shirt."
Tickets for the Premiership Rugby 7s Series Final on Friday, 8 August at the Twickenham Stoop are now on sale at quins.co.uk
