"My try was one for the ladies, the Aussie defender grabbed my shorts and my bottom was showing but I managed to get over the line. It was a good moment for me but I'm guilty of poor defence too, it's something I need to go away and look at."
May was also very honest about why he was on the bench for the game:
"The reason I haven't made the starting line-up is that I struggle with the blitz defence because at Gloucester we use a drift defence. There were times I got it right today but I missed one as well. It's getting there but I need to keep improving and make sure I get it right in the next game."
"We gave it everything from the off. We tried to keep them out in the first half and tried to throw it about a bit towards the end. But they were very accurate, they showed how clinical the southern hemisphere teams are and that's what got the better of us."
"They are very dangerous, their 12 (Robbie Coleman) is a great playmaker, all their backs were good. We did struggle to stop them a little bit, maybe if we'd thrown it about more we'd have created more. But our accuracy in the tackle and lack of clinical finishing lost us the game. But we did give it a 100% effort."
