The 28 year-old tight-head is well aware that the weekend's Premiership clash is key to Gloucester moving up the table.
Commenting on www.gloucesterrugbyclub.com Vickery said: "We've got to start looking upwards. There's been a good atmosphere in training this week, and we've had some good sessions.
"There's been an edge there, but you'd be disappointed if there wasn't. We've got to take this positive atmosphere into the game. The supporters expect and it's our job to deliver."
Vickery is likely to be up against Bath's Matt Stevens when scrum time arrives, and with both being involved in the current England set-up, the Gloucester man knows a bit about the young prop.
"Matt's a good player and he has the potential to be a world-class prop forward. He's highly regarded in the England set-up
"Bath have got a solid game plan and you have to give the management and players credit as they've had some good results. We know they'll come at us, we don't expect anything else.
"But there's no use looking at Bath too much, we've got to concentrate on our game. Saturday is about us, and what we do."
