These insightful, yet practical sessions have showcased a number of strategic options for business growth during the economic downturn, with expert speakers presenting real-life case studies. The sessions have shown some 50 participants how pure entrepreneurial acumen, a dynamic acquisition strategy, the franchising model and other growth strategies can work for a range of businesses, including start-ups and smaller business - and could also work for yours.
Since the seminars began earlier this year, David has been helping numerous delegates put into practice what they've learnt from these valuable sessions.
David joined Crowe Clark Whitehill last year from his previous role as finance director at a well-known London restaurant chain and prior to that as a partner at the London office of one of the larger accountancy firms.
David is enthusiastic about helping local businesses with their business strategies and connecting them with other professionals who can help them achieve their goals.
David fully understands the problems that can beset a company when finances are squeezed and is well positioned to help with future plans and sound decision-making. "Rarely is a recession a time to sit tight and hope for the best if you want to keep your business going," David notes.
Throughout the year, the seminars have been well attended by a growing number of businesses, creating a buzz of interest from entrepreneurs keen to tackle succession issues as well as reversing the fortunes of a business in decline. The seminars are also helpful to entrepreneurs maximising potential in businesses which have already bought into growth.
The final Connections event of 2011 will take place on 6 December 2011 at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel when delegates will be able to put to the test what they have learnt so far with a collaborative, fast-moving case study facilitated by one of the most popular speakers from the London Business School, Professor Rupert Merson.
More business events with a variety of expert speakers are planned for next year, aiming to keep local businesses at the top of their game and highlight different strategic options that could ensure their future success.
