The walk will follow the tow paths of the Grand Union Canel. Each club will have its own narrow boat as a support vehicle and breakfast, lunch stops and evening meals have all been planned along the route with various rugby clubs supplying fund raising opportunities along the way.
During this time Matt will be joined by the walkers on the pitch shortly before kick-off for the final.
The walk is hoping for a cross section of walkers from club supporters to sponsors and in some cases players.
Matt Hampson played rugby for Leicester Tigers Academy, England U18 schools and England U19s until a training accident whilst training with England in 2005 left him paralyzed from the neck down.
