Everyone arrived in great spirits ready to take on the challenge of the day. Some teams played with Gloucester Rugby players, and others with friends and colleagues.
It was a jammed packed event with more than 120 in attendance for the awards dinner that took place at the end of the day, and over £1500 was raised for the Community Foundation Trust, the chosen charity of the day's sponsors - Brewin Dolphin Ltd.
Ed Mawle FCSI, Divisional Director for Brewin Dolphin Ltd had this to say:
"It's been yet another great event in partnership with Gloucester Rugby. Being Events Partner to Gloucester Rugby has been great for us. We have met lots of new people, along with the opportunity to entertain our existing clients at great events this year.
"Many guests at the golf day enjoyed trying to out drive the professional rugby players and many succeeded! The players are real sports and always happy to chat and get involved.
"We are delighted with our sponsorship and look forward to our next event with the club."
Brewin Dolphin Ltd are a Gloucestershire based private client wealth management company and have many clients that already support the rugby, so this seemed the ideal sponsorship for them to get involved with.
With the rugby season now over, and cricket about to start, it adds to their portfolio of supporting local sporting events.
Angela Edwards, Business Development Manager for Gloucester Rugby, added:
"It's a great event every year. Fans, sponsors and supporters have the chance to get to know the players a little better, by spending the day on the golf course and the evening at the awards dinner.
"A big thank you to all the players and coaches that took time out of their week to come to the event. As we are now out of season, they gave their own time up to support this event, which is hugely appreciated.
"And a big thank you to all our sponsors and supporters that attended - without your continued support these events would never take place.
"Thank you to all involved, and a special thanks to Brewin Dolphin for sponsoring this event."
In particular, it was great to see the club's new main sponsors, Adey Professional Heating Solutions, in attendance along with stand sponsors Kohler Mira Ltd and JS Security.
Well done to Converge Networks for winning the day with the best score of 85.
Second were Butler Silcock with 83 and 3rd were Greenbase Groundworks with 80. At the other end of the scale, Pearce Platford picked up the booby prize!
