A message to all Gloucester Rugby Fans & Partners

A message to all Gloucester Rugby Fans & Partners
Following the announcement earlier this week regarding the postponement of the next four rounds of the Gallagher Premiership as well as Premiership Rugby Shield and Tyrrells Premier 15s matches, we wanted to further update our fans.

As a Club the welfare of our community - our fans, players, partners, clients and staff come above everything and this will always remain our priority.  This is a difficult period for all of us and the most important thing ultimately is for everyone to stay safe.

Gloucester Rugby, in unison with all the Premiership Clubs, have been working closely with Premiership Rugby Limited (PRL).  This is a fast-moving situation and we are all having to adjust our plans on a regular basis. Like many businesses, this is difficult for Gloucester Rugby as income from matchdays, tickets, Club Memberships, conference & events and sponsors is critical for the Club.

My promise to our fans is we will try to keep you informed of any developments as soon as we can and, at the moment, we would like to repeat that the next four rounds have been postponed only and that all Club Memberships and tickets will remain valid for re-scheduled matches.

We can’t express enough how important the support of all our fans is to Gloucester Rugby and, on behalf of all the players and staff, we would like to thank you for your continued support of the club.  It remains so important that all of us remain united during this unprecedented time.

In terms of staff at Gloucester Rugby, we are still working hard and doing our best to stay safe and healthy and of course follow all Government guidance.  Our staff are in the position where the majority can work remotely, and we have taken the difficult decision to close Kingsholm Stadium and our Conference and Events facilities from today until 8am on Monday 20 April.

We have also implemented a 25% salary reduction across everyone at the Club in order to see us through this incredibly challenging time.

Finally, we urge you to stay safe by following the advice from the NHS and where you can please try to help the most vulnerable during this period.

We will be back as a team with a vengeance as soon as we can!

Stay safe and best wishes to you all!

Lance Bradley

Chief Executive Officer, Gloucester Rugby
