Aldcroft named Player of the Match as England Women remain unbeaten in Six Nations
Gloucester-Hartpury second row Zoe Aldcroft put in a Player of the Match performance as England Women made it three from three in the Six nations with a 27-0 win over Ireland Women at Doncaster on Sunday.

Aldcroft has been in fine form for Simon Middleton’s side in the tournament so far this season and delivered another all-action performance.

England ran out comfortable winners, scoring four tries on their way to a 22-0 lead at half-time courtesy of Sarah Hunter, Abby Dow, Jess Breach and Vicky Fleetwood. Ireland were competitive in terms of possession and territory but lacked the cutting edge in attack to bother England.

However, they will probably be frustrated by the second 40 minutes as they added only one further try, from Sarah McKenna, to make the final score 27-0.

Gloucester Rugby’s Mo Hunt was a second half replacement and showed some nice touches as she injected some pace to the proceedings.

England Women are next in action against Wales Women on Saturday 7 March.
