Gloucester Rugby can confirm that Alex Morgan has put pen to paper on a new contract which will see the Welshman stay at Kingsholm.
With internationals and British and Irish Lions playing in the back three at Gloucester Rugby, there is no better place for Morgan, who grew up playing at Llanishen Rugby Club, to learn and develop.
Having those experienced players around him was a key decision in the Welshman signing on with the Elite Academy and Morgan is looking to learn from the best as he continues on his pathway.
Morgan said: “It’s a great feeling to re-sign with this club. I’ve been here since U18 and learning off the first team boys, their experience and the knowledge that they give you to progress yourself as an individual is really good.
“I’m training with the best, internationals and British and Irish Lions. Not every club has that. Training with them and learning off them and asking questions, it’s like being a sponge to them. You’ve got to soak up everything that they say because they are so knowledgeable. For young heads like myself, it’s just so good to get the info and keep improving.”
