An update from Chief Executive Officer, Lance Bradley

An update from Chief Executive Officer, Lance Bradley
You will have heard the UK Government’s announcement to restrict fans attending stadiums for up to the next six months.

Everyone at the club is disappointed by this decision. We put a great effort into preparations for the pilot of allowing 1,000 supporters at the game last week, and by all accounts it was a safe and successful experience.

We heavily rely on the income from match days, and to go without it for an additional six months will be devastating. We also recognise how important it is for you to be able to watch your team, and how difficult it would be to go for another six months unable to do so.

I have been vocal within local and national media about the impact these restrictions will have on Premiership Rugby generally, and our Club and community in particular.

I am working with other clubs and Premiership Rugby to ensure decision-makers within UK Government hear our concerns. I have time scheduled with our local MP, Richard Graham, and the leader of Gloucester City Council, Richard Cook, tomorrow to discuss this matter. Both have always been very supportive of our club.

We are also exploring other means of supporting the club financially if we cannot welcome you back to Kingsholm for six months.

We appreciate your concern after this announcement and thank each and every one of you for supporting the club during this difficult time.

We’ll continue to update you on progress and assure you we will be doing everything possible to secure the future of our club.

Thank you,

Lance Bradley
