Ben Morgan is looking forward to the Challenge Cup quarter-final against Saracens on Friday night and is hoping that the Cherry and White fans bring the same energy that they did to the West Country derby last weekend.
On the Bath win
“It was some occasion for sure! It’s one that us as players, we certainly won’t forget in a long time and hopefully that’s reciprocated for everyone else that was here.
“You get to live it for the weekend and then it’s back to business on the Monday. It’s a different challenge this week with Saracens in the European Challenge Cup. We had to park the Bath win quickly, move on and get everyone ready, bodies ready and minds ready for the big challenge on Friday night.”
On the big games we’ve got coming up
“We’re at the end of the season now and it’s the business end. We’re in games that mean everything. Every single week we’re playing for something. We know how important it is. European rugby, it’s a special competition. Knock-out rugby, with Saracens coming here, we’re certainly looking forward to it.”
On the atmosphere at Bath
“Lewis Ludlow and I said at half time that it was the most electric this place has felt since I’ve been playing in a Gloucester Rugby shirt. It was really special. I’ve got no doubt that the crowd will be equally as vocal and hopefully we can give them something to cheer about.”
On the squad all putting in a shift
“It’s something that George Skivington has really enforced since coming in and it’s the way that we’re trying to set our stool. Sometimes results don’t go your way, despite all the effort in the world, but what we’ve said as a group is that regardless of results, we want everyone that comes to watch us to know that we’ve left everything out there on the field.
“The Kingsholm faithful are starting to really understand that. We all give everything and the times that it comes off and works for us, like the weekend just gone, it’s unbelievable. There are games, even the week before against Bristol, we’ve emptied the tank but we were the wrong side of the scoreboard. We’ve given everything that we can and I think that’s something that is really easy for people to get behind and it would be great for that to continue. The crowd just keeps building and building behind us.”
“We’re just out there to work hard for each.”
