Cameron Jordan and Bryan O’Connor sign on with Gloucester Rugby’s Academy

Gloucester Rugby is delighted to announce that Cameron Jordan and Bryan O’Connor have both re-signed with the Cherry and White Academy.

Whilst Gloucester Rugby’s Academy primary focus is identifying and developing local talent from our community, occasionally there’s a position specific need to bring in players from outside our regional catchment area. The re-signing of both Cameron and Bryan are testimony to this recruitment strategy.

Cameron Jordan joined the Club from Leicester Tigers Academy in the summer of 2020.  He is a great example of a young player who has benefited from our special relationship with Hartpury RFC allowing him to develop, grow and play frequently at a competitive and challenging level.

Cameron made his Gloucester Rugby debut against Lyon this season where he scored a try with his first touch of the game when he came on off the bench.

Bryan O’Connor is an Ireland U20 international prop who can play on both sides of the scrum. He made his Gloucester Rugby debut against Northampton last season.

Director of Academy and Player Development, Carl Hogg, is delighted that the two prospects have signed on and that they will continue their development at Kingsholm.

“Cameron and Bryan are players who we believe have great potential and can make a significant contribution to Gloucester Rugby in the years to come.

“They have both fully embraced the culture and work ethic George Skivington has forged into this current group of players. We look forward to watching them fulfil their potential here at Kingsholm.”
