Cherry Pickers take on Scrivens Select XV at Cirencester RFC on Sunday
Looking for something fun to do this Sunday?  The Cherry Pickers (former Gloucester Rugby Players) are taking part in a Charity Game against a Scrivens Select XV at the Cirencester RFC Beer Fest – kick off is 2pm.

Nigel Scrivens played second row for Gloucester Rugby for many years. Tragically Nigel and his wife Sharon lost their son Ashley five years ago to cancer at the age of 24. This weekend marks the fifth anniversary of his passing.

The Scrivens family has since worked tirelessly to raise monies for Cirencester Race for Life (in aid of Cancer Research UK).

The funds raised from the game will go to this great cause.

All players and families are most welcome to attend to attract a large crowd supporting the many players who are turning out to play.

Lined up to represent the Cherry Pickers are the following:

Terry Sigley, Kevin Dunn (capt), Tom Heard, Robert Fidler, Nick Southern, Nick Selway, Luke Stratford, James Pettigrew, Paul Knight, Tim Stevenson, Lee Osbourne, Ian Morgan, Dave Knight, Tom Beim, Tim Smith, Fred McLellan, John Hawker, Gethin Evans, Tony Windo, Ninny Cuthbert, Andrew Jarrett, Alan Evans, George Evans

Bobby Fowke will be the Team Manager, Neil McCarthy will coach the side and Andy Deacon has been named as Kit Technician
