Club President Fred Reed heads off on the 2019 President’s Walk
Following the success of recent walks over recent years, Good Luck to Club President Fred Reed and everyone to take part and fundraise on the 2019 President’s Walk.

The 2019 President's Walk will see participants take on the challenge of 18 miles along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal through the county, beginning at the Sharpness Docks, and ending in the city of Gloucester.

Fred Reed and members of the Gloucester Rugby Players Association will be aiming to complete the walk in one day, stopping halfway for a spot of lunch in Frampton.

Starting this Friday, walkers will leave from Sharpness, before heading down the famous canal path to the Farmer’s Club, close to Kingsholm Stadium.

Walkers will then be invited to attend the Gloucester Rugby v Newcastle Falcons clash on the weekend of the 4 May at Kingsholm Stadium.

Club President Fred Reed commented;

“We’ve had some great walks and we’re hugely excited for the President’s Walk 2019, and it’s great that we will have both individuals from the charities taking part!

“All of the monies raised will be split between Kidney Research UK and Breast Cancer Care – two charities supporting two former Gloucester Rugby players experiencing illnesses in their families.”

Looking for a challenge to take on, sign up for the President’s Walk 2019 this May!
