Val Rapava-Ruskin appeared before an online independent disciplinary panel last night (Tuesday 23 February 2021).
Rapava-Ruskin was shown a red card by referee Wayne Barnes in the match Bath Rugby v Gloucester Rugby on Friday 19 February, for striking Josh Bayliss of Bath Rugby with the arm/elbow, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.12.
Val Rapava-Ruskin accepted the charge, and was given a 3-week suspension by the independent disciplinary panel comprising Jeremy Summers (chair), with Chris Skaife and Jamie Corsi.
He will be free to play again on 16 March 2021 and will miss the following games:
27 February: Gloucester Rugby v Worcester Warriors
6 March: Wasps v Gloucester Rugby
13 March: Gloucester Rugby v Leicester Tigers
